General Overview

Cuban cigars always had some kind of luxurious reputation among the cigar smokers. Hence the shop, selling first class Cuban cigars should retain the same feeling, ensure the visual and usability pleasure of the users, that got used to the smooth flavor of the cigars. We have decided to go with retro-styled design, with old fashioned textures, wooden style background texture of the humidor to make the visitors feel more comfortable and attract the new ones.

Multilevel navigation became right solution for rather vast product range. Additionally we have implemented the cigar finder on the basis of the Magento layered navigation. Right now, the shop users could easily find the proper cigar they were looking for, filtering by Brand, Wrapper, Shape, Length, Price and other attributes. It was very handy tool. Alternatively users could use the list of cigars page or shop by brand and then drill down to the particular cigar type. Each cigar type page were expanded with the advanced description section and separate ratings of the particular brand or cigar type.

Also we have involved the community section into the shop, providing the owner with the possibility to manage the Forum, write the entries to the integrated with Magento Wordpress blog (with separate categorization) or upload the videos to the videoblog. In general, our client received the possibility to provide and receive the feedback from his customers, provide the fast support and use the other social media factors of influence on their behavior and involvement with the project.
