US based children’s clothing boutique with more then 15 000 items available on stock. It was a really huge ecommerce project with thousands of active daily users online, so our task was to create a platform that will meet the expectations of both: our client and vast community of their users, make the online purchase even easier and safer then ever.
Rather big catalogue required smooth and clean navigation, so user would not lost in a hundreds of categories. Implementing the intuitive navigation and checkout has solved a lot or issues related to the user experience. Along with that, we have made a usability research for making the website usage even more comfortable.
Having rather complex and big inventory list, it is essential for this kind of business to analyze the income and expenditures - especially, when you are dealing with several biggest marketplaces online, like Amazon, ebay, etc. For this purpose we have customized and extended Magento reports for this client in order to cover as much wider range of analytics data. The default reports were also modified for the customer needs.
Channel Advisor integration
In general, ChannelAdvisor is the system that helps the web shops sell online with solutions for retailers to efficiently distribute their products across multiple online channels, drive shoppers to those products, and then convert those shoppers into customers. As soon as Channel Advisor is a bridge between webstore and biggest online selling platforms, we have built the integration between Sophiastyle and Channel Advisor. The integration comprised inventory synchronization, orders update, inventory items handling, XML data feed, cron jobs configuration,etc.
MyBuys figures out what each shopper wants, based on stated preferences and past behavior. It is an integrated solution that delivers personalized product recommendations via dynamic cross-sell and up-sell merchandising across multiple delivery channels. In order to make it work with SophiaStyle webshop we have created the XML feed with the submission of the appropriate data to MyBuys and ensured the display of their recommenders on the project pages.
ShipWorks is the external system for shipping and accounting of the inventory. We have developed the synchronization of the orders between Magento and this system. So right now, several times a day, all the processed orders are being sent from Magento to ShipWorks with the status updates. This integration allowed facilitating the stock operation and management of all the orders.
When the project was finished, we have received the request for development of the micro sites network. Based on the same Magento installation we have created the separate websites for this purpose. This allowed sharing the same inventory between the micro sites and main website. At the same time the design and URL were set separately, so for the regular user this network is presented as the different websites.
This custom development for the project presented for the website users the possibility to customize some clothes by their own embroidery. User can select the font, color, type of embroidery and get a final preview of how this embroidery will look like.
