Fischer Ammersee

FISCHER Ammersee is a German restaurant that also has an online store. It's a basic Magento shop that we migrated from Magento 1 to Magento 2, along with creating a custom responsive theme based on the provided design. The updated version of the store is simpler in use and more appealing.

The Challenge

Our task was to integrate PayPal and other most common payment systems easily while creating a simple and intuitive e-commerce website. Facebook Data Feed integration was also requested. We aimed at making this website one of the most striking examples of a quick, stylish, and beautiful online store with an extensive product range, from food and alcohol to leisure items and bathroom accessories.

  • Client:FISCHER Ammersee
  • Year:2016
  • Industry:Food & Beverages
  • Location:Germany
  • DataBase: MariaDB
  • Hosting: Maxcluster
  • CI/CD: Jenkins
  • Server: NGINX, Redis, Elasticsearch, Varnish
  • Backend: Magento 2 (PHP, Zend Framework, Symfony, Composer)
  • Frontend: Custom Magento theme based on PHP, HTML5, CSS3 (LESS pre-processor), JavaScript (jQuery, Knockout, RequireJS), Grunt

The Solution

Having analyzed the client's requirements, we decided to make a convenient and simple marketplace where the whole range of products could be easily displayed. In turn, the simple and intuitive design would improve customer experience.

The Result

The main feature of this store is a custom integration of Gurago, an Omni Channel gift voucher system, to attract new customers and increase sales. The shop also has integrated GTM for GDPR support, while the top search was implemented via the Elastic search engine. As an additional option, we integrated Facebook Data Feed according to the client's requirement. As a result, we created a basic e-commerce shop with the standard flow that also has our custom-developed shipping options with a dependency on the customer's cart weight.
